Manny Pacquiao has defeated the biggest names in recent boxing history. Only one man stands in his way to complete what seems to be a demolition job for the Pinoy hero – that is Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Mayweather Jr. has announced last Saturday that he is coming back to the ring again to prove once and for all that he is the real pound for pound king of the ring. Right now, Manny is considered the world’s best fighter and king of boxing after beating 2 boxing legends – Dela Hoya and Hatton.
Mayweather did not see the Hatton-Pacquiao fight live. He was reported to be playing bowling with his daughter at that time. He did not see how Manny floored the undefeated best fighter at 140 lbs with a convincingly solid left cross that will shut up the Pacman haters and detractors for years. While Mayweather was gunning for a spare, he has not seen the Pacman unleashed the fist of fury that Hatton admittedly told the press that he did not see coming. He should have watched how the little man from the Philippines dominated the ring that is surrounded mostly by the Brits and Hatton fans. To their dismay, the unlikely boxing superstar has defeated their brawling hero for years.
What Mayweather can do now is to line up for a fight with the current unassuming and humble king of the ring who really lets his fiery fist do the talking. In so doing, Mayweather has to finish first Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico in order to get a fight with the Pacman. And if that happens, as the promoters wants it to be, then it is going to be the biggest, the grandest and the most money-laden fight of the century the world has ever seen. The Mayweather-Marquez fight will be held on July 18th this year. Mayweather should win and I will pray that you win against Marquez.
Pacquiao versus Mayweather Jr. – This is the pound for pound fighting match of the 21st century. I am sure the online betting on this fight will be very high. We will be waiting.
