Bangis ni Mar Roxas – the Aspiring Future President of the Philippines by 2010 Elections

Make no mistake.  I am not in Mar Roxas’ campaign office.

Yesterday, I met this man in our office inauguration in Quezon City and the guy is more than what I had expected.  When I shook his hands and personally greeted each other, I know that “Mabangis” din itong si Mar Roxas.  What I meant by this is that I believe now why he is aiming for the top post in the Philippines.  From the way he carry himself to the way he speak out his thoughts, beliefs and principles, he can by my man by 2010.

Years before, as disciplinarian myself, I began to like the original Bangis ng MMDA – former Marikina Mayor Bayani Fernando – another presidential contender I read in the papers.  My father liked him too.  I have not met him in person but I believe that he can turn this country around with his firm principles to clean up the ugliness and lawlessness of some people.

My only problem with BF’s candidacy is that the masses don’t seem to like him.  I know this because disciplinarians are not for the soft hearted.  They hate you for what you are even though your intentions are good.  People are blinded by shock and awe on outside so they cannot see the goodness of intentions on the inside.  Mabangis si Bayani and I think he has stretched this impression to the point of being looked at like a terror teacher in school.

So when I met this man from the Araneta clan, I now have my new man for the top job.  He came very casual to me and I don’t feel any pressure or intimidation.  He is very down to earth and has the charisma probably of President Magsaysay before.  And when he speaks of his thoughts about the Philippines and the way his logical thinking works, I concluded he’s got the brainpower to run this country around.

So am I endorsing Mar Roxas for President?  I will wait to shake the hands of Bayani and hear him speak his mind.  Then I can decide.  If I don’t get to see Bayani in person, you will know from future blog my choice.  But for now, with from a winnability standpoint, Mar Roxas is my guy.  But I maybe too early to say this.  We’ll see.

Update: Incidentally, I saw Mar Roxas topping the votes (so far) at this site http://www.pinoytop10.com/Top-10-Pinoy-Votes/id/46/Sen.-Mar-Roxas.  While Bayani Fernando trails in second, he is not that far from Mar.  Check it out for yourself.
